Philou natural skin care products have been preserved with a natural broad spectrum preservative derived from almonds.  However care must still be exercised when handling them.  Unlike chemically preserved products, naturally preserved products can still become contaminated with bacteria, fungi and other impurities.  To avoid this spatulas rather than fingers should be used when removing product from jars.  It is also important to not expose Philou products to excessive shifts in temperature.  As Philou products do not contain stabilisers, repeated exposure to the heat and cold can cause them to alter consistency and/or separate into difference phases.  Whilst this may not change performance of the product it could cause difficulties restoring the product to its original desired texture.

Philou natural skincare utilises ingredients sourced from around the globe to ensure that we acquire products derived from their optimal growing conditions.  Geographical alterations in climate can slightly alter colour, scent, fluidity and other specifications of an ingredient.  This can sometimes result in batch to batch variation that is a normal consequence of utilising natural ingredients in the absence of chemical stabilisers.  Again clients using products at home should be advised of this and should be assured that in no way is the integrity of the product compromised should they notice any slight variation.  Obviously if a client is concerned about extreme changes, they should be reported back to the therapist who in turn will report this back to Philou.

Philou Skin Rejuvenation Technologies was launched in Australia in August 2003.  They manufacture and distribute quality skincare products for women, men and children.

The company was founded by Dr Yasmin Edwards, a biochemist with 25 years research experience into cellular function and metabolism.
